Having Trouble Staying Productive? These 3 Tips Can HelpBeing productive is one of the trickiest parts of adulthood. You might get short spurts of productivity, but if you're not sitting down at your laptop ready to go, that energetic feeling will soon fade away and you'll be left mindlessly scrolling through Facebook for hours ... again.

Whether you're just trying to get some important stuff done for your day job or want to actually work on some cool projects when you're off the clock, you have to do everything you can to fight those lazy feelings and be productive. Here are a few things that might help you be a little more productive.

Work in a new place
Sometimes working at your desk or your home can feel too much like ... work. Working in a new area can help refresh your brain and give you some much-needed momentum so you can get some stuff done. The best places that can be productivity safe havens are often coffee shops.

Roughly 30% of the population drinks coffee occasionally, which means 70% of the population has a dark hole inside their heart. In addition to giving you a purpose in life, coffee can actually boost your productivity. You have to do more than just have a coffee cup next to your computer, however, but those coffee cups will certainly help give you the boost you need to get in the right mindset. Grab a fresh coffee cup, order some hot soup, put your headphones in, and get to work!

Take little breaks every hour
It's important to give your mind a break every once in a while so you don't get burnt out. You should make sure that these breaks aren't any longer than 10 to 15 minutes, however, so you don't lose all your feelings of productiveness. Taking hour-long breaks can easily get you into a lazy funk and will pretty much ruin your energy levels for the rest of the day. Taking short breaks after working for an hour or so can help refresh your mind and get you ready for your next task.

Take good care of your body
You should get a good night’s sleep every night, wake up early, eat right, and take care of yourself throughout the day. If your body is feeling tired and unhealthy, your mind will share those feelings. It’ll be nearly impossible to be productive if you’re hungry, sleepy, or unhealthy. Take care of yourself and you’ll be much more energetic as a result.

Getting work done is difficult, but that's okay, it's supposed to be. As long as you give yourself a realistic chance to be productive and set yourself up for success, you'll be able to get whatever task you're working on done.
